Holiday Hours for Pharmacy Services
These Marshfield Clinic Pharmacy locations will be closed on July 3rd:
Marshfield Clinic Pharmacy in Eau Claire
will be open July 3 and 4 from 8:30 a.m. to Noon with regular weekend hours of 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on July 5.
Marshfield Clinic Pharmacy on Central Ave in Marshfield
will be closed on July 3 and open July 4 and 5 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Temporary Change in Services
Due to the evolving situation with COVID-19, we are temporarily suspending our normal pharmacy processes. We no longer allow patients to come directly to a pharmacy counter to pick up their medications. This new restriction applies to every pharmacy operated by Marshfield Clinic Health System.
Instead, we are asking patients to receive their prescription medications through the mail. To set up mail delivery of medications, patients can call
We are also offering curbside pickup of medication. Patients can request a refill of their prescription by phone or
online, drive to their usual pharmacy, park outside the building, and pharmacy staff will bring medications out to them.
We have established unique phone numbers patients will be able to text when they arrive at one of our facilities for medication pick up. Those phone numbers are listed below.
In addition, we are completely closing three of our remote dispensing locations and one pharmacy. Those are our Eau Claire Oakwood, Eau Claire Riverview and Mercer remote dispensing locations and our Mosinee pharmacy. Mosinee staff has been relocated to the Weston Remote Dispensing Facility.

Our pharmacies and remote dispensing sites provide you with comprehensive, convenient and cost-effective pharmacy services, like prescription refills and transfers.
We offer competitive pricing and accept most insurance plans including Medical Assistance and Medicare, to help you reduce or avoid out-of-pocket costs.
We also participate in Marshfield Clinic's Financial Assistance program for those who qualify and are unable to pay for all of or a portion of their care.
Our pharmacists will answer your questions and counsel you on the proper use of prescriptions. You may bring in your medications (including those filled by other pharmacies) for a medication review. Our pharmacists will tell you if, in combination, your medications could cause interactions such as side effects or reduce effectiveness. This service is available by appointment.

Remote dispensing sites
What is a remote dispensing site (RDS)?
The remote dispensing site (RDS) operates as an extension of a traditional pharmacy. The primary difference is that a pharmacist checks the orders and talks with patients via a two-way video connection instead of being live at the site.
Why have remote dispensing sites (RDS)?
The primary benefit is that the location is able to provide pharmacy services for patients in locations that could not support the higher costs of a traditional pharmacy.
Who is working at the remote dispensing site (RDS)?
Pharmacy technician(s) that work at RDS are legally required to have more experience than technicians in a regular pharmacy setting. The technicians are trained and fully capable of coordinating all of your medicine needs. The pharmacist is supervising from a Marshfield Clinic Pharmacy near the RDS location.
Can I still speak with a pharmacist?
Yes. All patients picking up medicines are legally required to speak with the pharmacist before leaving with the medicine. When your medicine is ready and checked by the pharmacist, the technician will ask you to step in front of the TV screen. This may be directly at a pick-up counter or in a private room. The pharmacist is then able to see and hear you. The pharmacist will speak directly with you and you can speak back as if the pharmacist were live in front of you. This conversation is private and confidentiality is maintained at all times.
