Entrance change for pregnant patients in labor
The entrance for pregnant or laboring patients being admitted, is the door to the left/east of the main Emergency Department entrance. This keeps healthy laboring moms distanced from those seeking Urgent Care or Emergency Department services. The screener at that entrance will screen and direct the patient to the Birth Center. This door is staffed 24/7.
Urgent Care temporarily relocated to hospital Emergency Department
Urgent Care services at Marshfield Medical Center (Marshfield campus) will be temporarily relocated to the hospital Emergency Department response to the COVID 19 pandemic. This change allows for most efficient use of staff in those two departments and provides increased focus on triaging patients coming to campus.
Urgent Care for the duration will be located at the Emergency Department in the hospital. Please use the Emergency Department entrance at the hospital. A paramedic and a medical assistant will be in Urgent Care to help redirect patients.
Phone numbers for both departments are unchanged. Urgent Care and Emergency Department patients should park in Lot 2 near the intersection of N. St. Joseph Ave, and W. Kalsched St.
