Electrophysiology

Many heart problems occur due to heart arrhythmia, an irregular heartbeat caused by "short circuits" in the heart's electrical system.

Electrophysiologists are specially trained cardiologists who diagnose and treat heart arrhythmias.

Our electrophysiologists can precisely identify electrical problems in the heart, and have access to the most sophisticated treatments, like advanced pacemaker systems, catheter ablations and implantable defibrillators.

If you've been diagnosed with a heart arrhythmia such as atrial fibrillation you may be recommended by your provider to undergo an electrophysiology study. An electrophysiology study is a test to assess your heart's electrical activity to diagnose where an arrhythmia is and map out the electrical activity of the heart. The study offers not only a glimpse of your electrical activity, but also the best course of treatment.
