Dr. Ben Shier is a chiropractor helping patients who have headaches and pain in their back and neck, often related to nerve and mechanical dysfunctions from the spinal complex. He also works to help those with painful extremities such as shoulders, wrists and knees.
Dr. Shier knew from a young age that he belonged in the medical field because of his desire to help people. He was drawn to the holistic nature of chiropractic care.
Dr. Shier uses a range of hands-on techniques to reduce pain, improve function and restore range of motion. He also develops plans that can include an assessment of how to improve ergonomics, therapeutic exercises patients can do at home and lifestyle changes to prevent future problems.
“I'm committed to seeing every patient as an individual with individual needs," Dr. Shier said. “I listen very carefully, make sure they feel heard and provide the most thorough evaluation possible in order to help them achieve their goals."
Dr. Shier earned his doctorate of chiropractic degree from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Minneapolis and his bachelor's from University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
In his spare time, he enjoys playing blues harmonica in a band, reading fiction novels, fishing, waterfowling and spending time with his family.
