“I hope my patients feel I am very thorough, listen well, and explain things in detail giving my patients both nonoperative and operative options."

Provider Bio down arrow

Dr. Warren Dunn treats patients who have shoulder pain, limited shoulder function, rotator cuff tendon problems, shoulder instability and frozen shoulder. He specializes in shoulder replacement.

His journey to becoming an orthopedic surgeon started with his interest in working with his hands, fixing and building things. “Helping patients with shoulder replacements is rewarding," he said. “Patients are typically pain free and very pleased with the outcome. Improving their quality of life is very gratifying."

Dr. Dunn received care from an orthopedic surgeon and felt the relief firsthand of restored function and tries to translate that same care to his patients. “I treat my patients with compassion and respect, involving them in decision-making, communicating effectively," he said. “I consider their holistic needs while using evidence-based practices, when possible, to ensure continuity of care and upholding ethical standards."

Dr. Dunn has an interest in research and has received the prestigious Kappa Delta Ann Doner Vaughn Award from the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons three times for his work.

Dr. Dunn earned his medical degree from University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa. He completed an internship and an orthopaedic surgery residency with Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He completed a fellowship in sports medicine and shoulder surgery with the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York and the Texas Orthopedic and Research Foundation for Shoulder and Elbow Surgery at the Texas Orthopedic Hospital, Houston.

In his free time Dr. Dunn enjoys hunting, fishing, gardening and wood working. His son majored in aerospace engineering and is in the Marines training to become a pilot, and he has a daughter in college majoring in art.
