Timothy Golemgeski, M.D., always saw himself going into family practice. From a young age he was taken to a primary care provider “for everything," and he envisioned himself doing that, too.
Dr. Golemgeski sees patients with a variety of ailments such as hypertension, diabetes, osteoarthritis and other chronic conditions. He also provides care in sports medicine, health maintenance such as newborn exams, well-child checks, routine adult health care, women's health (including birth control counseling) and Medicare wellness visits. He is board-certified in family medicine.
“When I worked as a paramedic, I liked emergency medicine, but I always wondered what happened with the patient," Dr. Golemgeski said. “This led me to family practice where I am able to treat all sorts of conditions and have the privilege of growing with my patients and creating meaningful relationships."
As a native Wisconsinite, he is happy to bring family practice to rural communities in Stratford and Neillsville and establish relationships with his patients.
“My goal is to work with my patients to offer them information to make the best decision for themselves," Dr. Golemgeski said. “I like to say, “'You and I will call a play, it is up to you to run the ball. If you fumble or we don't get the right call, we will just call another play.'" If we can fix or prevent a problem without medications that is the route we will go."
Dr. Golemgeski went to medical school at Ross University – School of Medicine, Dominica, West Indies. He completed his residency at MetroHealth Medical Center, Cleveland, Ohio.
He is married and has three children. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking, football, rugby and spending time with his kids.
