“My approach to care is to focus on the specific wants and needs of each individual patient."
Dr. Timothy Hovde is a podiatrist who helps patients with a variety of foot and ankle concerns including bunions, fractures, arthritis, flat feet and tendonitis.
Dr. Hovde entered the field of medicine with a strong desire to help people reduce their pain, improve their mobility and help them return to their prior level of function. As a podiatrist, he's able to use many different tools to treat his patients.
“Conservative treatment can be a simple, effective way of treating many conditions that plague the foot or ankle and can be as simple as a change in shoes," Dr. Hovde said. “If conservative measures fail, I also have the ability to surgically correct many different foot and ankle conditions to decrease pain and keep my patients on their feet."
Dr. Hovde emphasizes the importance of the partnership between himself and the patient throughout their care journey.
“I put forth my best efforts to actively listen, ensure the patient understands the diagnosis, treatment plan and follow-up to ensure all goals have been achieved," Dr. Hovde said.
Dr. Hovde earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in Chicago, Illinois. He completed his residency at Ascension St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan.
When he's not working, Dr. Hovde enjoys spending time with his wife and two boys, hunting, fishing and watching Wisconsin sports teams.
