Physician assistant Susan Mitchler sees patients whose orthopedic concerns range from acute fractures and injuries to chronic joint pains.
She works at the Marshfield Clinic Minocqua and Park Falls centers and has been part of the orthopedic team since 1996.
She performs selective medical procedures and provides comprehensive health care services under the direction of Marshfield Clinic Health System physicians. In addition, she works with orthopedic surgeons for patients who need surgery or have a complicated case.
Sue is originally from the Fox River Valley in Wisconsin. Prior to joining orthopedics, she worked in a family practice environment in California. After taking time off to travel the world, she moved back to Wisconsin and took up residence in Minocqua.
She says she chose the area because she wanted to live in a resort community near her family. Sue spends her free time enjoying outdoor activities with her family. An amputation of her left lower leg has led to relearning much she had mastered in the past. It has been an eye opening and rewarding process.
Sue’s undergraduate degree is from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. She is certified by the National Certifying Commission on Physician Assistants and is licensed to practice in Wisconsin.
