“I
am determined to get to the root of what is wrong and help my patients to heal.”
In his practice as a board-certified internal medicine specialist, Dr. Steven Weiss blends his expertise of complex diseases with an interest to interact with people.
Two aspects of Dr. Weiss' style that have endeared him to patients over the years are his persistence and the value he places on relationships.
He coordinates and cares for patients of all ages and varying conditions from diagnosing and treating long-term conditions to common medical problems and providing wellness care and prevention efforts.
“I have a curiosity and interest in problem solving that pushes me to always want to try to figure out what is wrong," he said. “That coupled with the desire to get to know my patients as human beings allows me to build a unique care plan based on the individual."
Born and raised in Eau Claire, Dr. Weiss went on to raise his family in his hometown while practicing medicine. To his role in Ladysmith, he brings over 30 years of distinguished clinical expertise and is recognized by the American College of Physicians as a Fellow.
In addition to his practice, Dr. Weiss is proud to be a long time volunteer and board member at the Chippewa Valley Free Clinic.
Dr. Weiss is no stranger to the Ladysmith area having spent time cross country skiing trails at the Blue Hills and fishing at Devils Creek. Besides being an avid fly fisherman and cross country skier, he enjoys reading, writing and traveling.
