“I want to be a support system for women and help them be as healthy as they can be.”
With an active family and career, Nurse Practitioner Stefani Lokemoen knows it can be easy for women to put other priorities before their own health. Her passion is helping women become healthier.
"Women have a lot on their plates," Stefani said. "Trying to make their health care easier is my goal."
She also wants her patients to feel their health care visits are worthwhile.
"Patients should be part of the decision making process and discussion," she said. "I don't want them to feel like I was telling them things and not listening."
Originally from the Chippewa Falls area, Stefani wanted to work in the community she loves.
"I love that the water's close by, and there's a great downtown to be active in the community," she said. "Having a good balance between work and home life is important."
Stefani earned her bachelor's degree and Masters of Science in nursing from University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. She previously worked as an occupational health nurse practitioner at Marshfield Clinic Eau Claire Center.
Stefani enjoys being active and participating in a summer volleyball league. She and her husband enjoy watching sporting events and going out on the water. The couple spends much of their free time with their two children.
