Stacy Donnelly, D.O., takes a preventive approach to your child’s health. She provides well-child visits, treats children when they are sick and manages chronic or ongoing medical conditions.
She does this because she has always loved working with children and the continuity of care she can provide from birth.
“Seeing kids starting from infancy and then watching them grow into adolescence is very rewarding for me,” Dr. Donnelly said.
Dr. Donnelly attended medical school at A.T. Still University – Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri. She completed her residency in pediatrics at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia. She is board-certified.
As a pediatrician, she understands that parents play an important role in a child’s health because they ensure they live a healthy lifestyle, get proper nutrition and get the right amount of sleep. These are all important parts of a holistic approach to providing care to children.
“Being a parent has helped me understand that both the parent and provider want the same thing,” Dr. Donnelly said. “I try to listen to their concerns and do whatever is needed to provide appropriate care for their child.”
She and her husband have two children. She likes to run, travel and spend time with her family.
