“It’s important to individualize
treatment recommendations to
fit the lifestyle of our patients.”
Dr. Shankar Bettadahalli is a specialist in endocrinology, treating diseases affecting the endocrine system such as diabetes, thyroid disease and other hormonal imbalances.
He completed a fellowship in endocrinology at Albany Medical Center in New York, where he also completed his internal medicine residency. He earned his medical degree in India and completed additional training in the United Kingdom and in India prior to his U.S. residency.
Dr. Bettadahalli (pronounced beta- da-HALL-ee) said he decided on endocrinology in medical school because he enjoyed the intellectual challenge of working with hormone levels.
“I trained in a small town in England and I liked that setting,” he noted. “Marshfield Clinic gave me a chance to work in such a place and still have a good support system with other specialists.”
He enjoys reading, playing tennis and cricket.
