“I get to know my whole patient from their medical history to what's going on in their life, mind and body."
Rebekah VanErp, a family nurse practitioner, helps patients who have conditions that impact their sleep, including obstructive sleep apnea and sleep disorders.
She enjoys having a holistic view of the body and working with patients to develop a plan of care.
Working towards answers for patients drives Rebekah in her daily work. “In the past, I worked with neurology patients post-surgically I enjoyed the process of deciphering next steps and working with the patient to see improvements," she said.
Those “ah-ha" moments and her daily interaction with patients is what Rebekah finds the most rewarding. “I hope patients say I'm personable, easy to talk to and good listener. My goal is to help my patients improve their quality of life."
Rebekah earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University - College of Nursing in Downers Grove, Illinois. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.
When not at work, Rebekah spends time with her two children and a household of pets. She enjoys working with rescue animals, spending time outside hiking, fishing and in the garden. She and her family enjoy arts and crafts, toad hunting and reading in the hammock in their backyard.
