Rebecca Bredl knew at an early age what
she wanted to be when she grew up and
even where she wanted to work. Audiology
was a field that always intrigued her.
Marshfield Clinic was an organization she
always respected. A native of Auburndale,
she grew up in the shadow of Marshfield
Clinic and was influenced immensely by the
health care organization with deep roots in
Wisconsin.
“Marshfield Clinic has always been part of
my life,” she recalls. “I understood and saw
firsthand its dedication to patients.”
Rebecca combined a passion for health
care and pediatrics at a young age and set
out to someday come back to Marshfield
Clinic to care for patients. She received
her undergraduate degree and master’s
degrees from UW Stevens Point. She
earned her doctorate degree from A.T. Still
University-Arizona School of Health
Sciences in Phoenix, AZ. She has been
with Marshfield Clinic Eau Claire Center
since 1999.
In many ways, Rebecca has been a trendsetter
in the Chippewa Valley. Her proudest
achievement is establishing the first universal
newborn hearing program in Eau Claire.
Other services she has brought to patients
in the region include hearing evaluations
for all ages, balance assessments, hearing
aid fitting, and dispensing. She also is a
pioneer in utilizing telemedicine to bring
her audiology services to remote, rural,
underserved areas of northwest Wisconsin.
Married to husband Craig, the Bredl’s have
three children and are active in the
community.
