A lifelong caregiver, Paula McKinnon has always been drawn to helping people.
McKinnon enjoys the challenge of helping patients understand their bodies and works to help patients manage chronic conditions through prevention and lifestyle changes through informed care.
“I enjoy meeting new patients and learning their stories," she said. “I value evidence-based care and use it to inform my clinical decisions."
As a nurse practitioner in cardiology, McKinnon helps manage patients with coronary artery disease, valvular disorders, arrhythmias and heart failure.
McKinnon earned a doctorate in nursing practice and a bachelor of science in nursing and rehabilitation psychology from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin.
In her free time, McKinnon enjoys spending time with her husband and children. She has also participated in multiple mission trips to Haiti to help provide dental care and oral health education to the rural community of Fond Jean Noël.
