“I enjoy when I'm able to provide care for a patient and see significant improvements in their health and wellbeing. It's truly gratifying."
Dr. Nicholas Brahm provides general primary care for patients of all ages and enjoys collaborating with clinical specialists to ensure his patients receive the most appropriate care as quickly as possible. With a passion for hospital medicine, he's also dedicated to caring for his patients when they are admitted to the hospital. Dr. Brahm is a board-certified ostheopathic family physician.
“In med school, I enjoyed every rotation, and couldn't imagine committing to just one specialty," Dr. Brahm said. “I enjoy primary care and hospitalist medicine because I get to see a little bit of everything. It's rewarding to both prevent hospitalizations with timely interventions and provide inpatient care that results in positive outcomes."
A keen interest in science and a life-changing job shadow of his family physician while in school sparked Dr. Brahm's decision to get into medicine. He takes a collaborative approach to his practice, working closely with each patient to learn of their concerns and offer his best assessment.
“I believe in being an advocate for each of my patients," Dr. Brahm said. “I best accomplish that by laying out the facts, providing options and advising to the best of my ability. It is important for patients play a role in their own care, and I try to assist them every step of the way to help them accomplish their goals."
Dr. Brahm earned his Bachelor of Science at Marquette University in Milwaukee and his Doctor of Osteopathy at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Kansas City.
In his free time, Dr. Brahm enjoys spending time with his wife and four children and supporting local sports teams like the Brewers, Packers, Bucks and Admirals.
