Dr. Mark Schuler focuses on improving function for patients by treating back pain, neck pain and other impairments.
“The typical patient in my practice is one who has an injury due to an accident or simply has issues related to wear and tear on the body. I emphasize physical therapy, rehab techniques and other non-surgical treatments to help people get back to enjoying their normal activities,” he said.
He is board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation.
Dr. Schuler enjoys the challenge of his specialty. “There’s a lot of variety involved, and a lot of interesting diagnostic work,” he says, “There’s no cookie-cutter care in this field. And of course, seeing people recover and do better is always very rewarding.” While most physicians in his field work entirely out of their offices, Dr. Schuler regularly helps hospitalized patients receive rehab after an injury or procedure.
Married with three children, Dr. Schuler spends most of his free time with his family, hiking, canoeing and downhill and cross-country skiing. His hobbies include trying out the latest electronic gadgets
and long-distance running.
He earned his medical degree at Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. He completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Ohio State University – Medical Center in Columbus.
