As an orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Mark D. Earll does primary partial and total joint replacements, revision joint replacements, hip resurfacing, and knee arthroscopy.
“I like helping people get back on their feet," said Dr. Earll. “Somebody with crippling arthritis can be walking and functioning better in a very short time." He also helps people who've had fractures or musculoskeletal trauma.
Dr. Earll is active in medical research to improve quality outcomes for all joint replacement patients. He uses an advanced robotic-assisted surgery system for knee implants, which allows for more precision.
“We are able to receive new insight into soft tissue tension around the knee, so implants can feel more natural," Dr. Earll said. “This has been shown to improve patient satisfaction in the short-term and may lead to faster recoveries."
Dr. Earll earned his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine & Public Health in Madison. He completed his residency in orthopedics at the Medical College of Virginia – School of Medicine in Richmond. Dr. Earll completed his fellowship at OrthoCarolina in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Originally from Marshfield, Dr. Earll is happy to practice at the Health System. He and his wife, a pediatrician, have two children. In his spare time, Dr. Earll enjoys cross country skiing and golf.
