“I chose internal medicine because of a desire to have long term relationships with my patients. I enjoy getting to know them and their families.”
"Internal Medicine is primary care for adults," said Dr. Mark Richetto. "I care for a wide variety of health concerns."
Dr. Richetto, board-certified internal medicine provider, emphasizes preventative care, lifestyle modifications and keeping his patients up to date on health screening recommendations. In addition, he manages multiple chronic conditions including diabetes, hypertension, elevated cholesterol, heart, lung and kidney disease, dementia, depression and anxiety.
"It's my goal to provide excellent care with compassion," he said. "I value long-term relationships with patients based on trust. As a general internist, I work hard to coordinate the health care of my patients if they need to see other specialists."
Dr. Richetto earned his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals in Milwaukee.
Dr. Richetto is a native of central Wisconsin. He joined Marshfield Clinic Wausau Center in 1990 and transferred his practice to Stevens Point in 2020. He has been married to his wife for more than 30 years. They have four adult children including twin sons.
In his free time, he enjoys various forms of exercise, participates in church activities, and has served on several international medical mission trips to various third world countries.
