“I work to develop a good, trusting relationship with each and every patient, while providing up-to-date, evidence-based practice."
Marissa Walczak is a nurse practitioner specializing in nephrology. She sees patients with chronic kidney disease and kidney failure, and helps to monitor dialysis and kidney regulation.
Walczak worked as a registered nurse for more than 15 years and found she was very passionate in building relationships with her patients.
“I feel that as a nurse practitioner, I can make a bigger impact on my patient's well-being and quality of life," Walczak said. “I get to take the time to know them as a person as well as a patient."
Walczak earned her Master of Science in Nursing degree at Walsh University in North Canton, Ohio and her bachelor's degree in nursing at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
When she's not at work, Walczak enjoys being with her family and spending time outdoors snowmobiling, fishing or hunting. She keeps busy with two kids and a home filled with a variety of pets.
