“Positive” is a word that Dr. Leon
Veldhuizen uses as a motto in life.
He looks for the best in others and is
personally committed to making their
lives better.
As a board-certified family medicine physician, Dr. Veldhuizen coordinates and cares for patients of all ages and varying conditions from diagnosing and treating long-term conditions to common medical problems and providing wellness care and prevention efforts.
He
improves the health of his patients by
giving them the most up-to-date advice
and education. He also believes in
providing care that best meets the needs
for each individual patient and family. His
patients find him very kind, warm and
empathetic.
Dr. Veldhuizen received his degree at the
University of Iowa - College of Medicine,
and joined Marshfield Clinic Health System
after completing a residency at the
University of Wisconsin - Family Practice
Center in Wausau.
While not at work, he is an avid reader who loves to be active outdoors with hiking, biking, archery and shooting sports. His wife and two sons are the center of his life. Together they enjoy sports, church, and many outdoor activities, especially playing with their dog.
