“I have a passion for building relationships with my patients and their families.”
Leah Meidl grew up in a family that had many members working in the medical profession, so it was always a field she was drawn to. As far back as kindergarten, Leah said she wanted to work in the back of an ambulance and help people. She was born and raised in central Wisconsin, and she is proud to be home serving the communities she knows so well.
“I really have a passion for health, teaching and helping people, so the medical field is a perfect fit for me,” Leah said. “Nursing just seemed like the right fit for me with everything that I’m passionate about.”
For Leah, the key to patient care is building relationships with those in her care.
“Connecting with patients on a human level and educating them about their care is really important to me,” Leah said. “To me, that’s the key to providing excellent care.”
Leah has extensive experience working with families, and she believes involving families in a child’s care is important. In addition to her role as a nurse practitioner, she is a lactation consultant.
Leah earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and her Master of Science in Nursing from Frontier Nursing University in Kentucky.
Outside of work, Leah’s biggest passion is spending time with her husband and their three daughters and son. They love spending time on their hobby farm together. Fitness is another important part of Leah’s life. She enjoys running and yoga.
