Kirsten Vetterkind is a family nurse practitioner who has a special interest in women's health, diabetes and dermatology.
Vetterkind has a strong commitment to volunteer work. She completed a mission to Guatemala with a “Faith in Practice" medical/surgical team. She has also been active in tobacco cessation coalitions and was an EMS volunteer for many years.
Originally from the Wisconsin northwoods, Vetterkind attended the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse. She then attained her nursing degree from Northland College in Ashland, Wisconsin and her masters in Family Health Nursing from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire.
Prior to joining Marshfield Clinic Health System, Vetterkind was part of a family practice in a western North Dakota oil-boom town.
“In my free time I am active with the Rib Knights Snowmobile Club, and I also enjoy boating, skiing and hunting," she said.
Vetterkind has three sons. She stays busy being part of their school, PTO group and church.
