Dr. Kelli Wehman-Tubbs is an internist is helping people with chronic conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease. She also helps people stay up to date with screening and disease prevention service.
She went into medicine because she wanted to learn as much as I could about health conditions and apply that to help people when they were ill or in need of care.
“On every encounter, I try to listen to the patient and work to find an acceptable approach to care," Dr. Wehman-Tubbs said. “I also think finding a little joy and humor is always important when caring and relating to my patients."
As a board-certified internal medicine provider, Dr. Wehman-Tubbs performs yearly visits with a focus on screening and disease prevention. She also provides routine follow up care and post-hospital follow-up care.
“My time spent talking with patients is the most enjoyable, particularly hearing about what things keep them going and what brings them joy and happiness," Dr. Wehman-Tubbs said.
She and her husband I are from Wisconsin, and she returned to the state for her residency. “Our connection to the community kept us here after my training was complete," she said.
