Kasie Myers, family medicine nurse practitioner, loves seeing patients of all ages.
“I have had great experience with the older population within my nursing practice and wanted to incorporate the younger population into my practice,” Myers said.
She treats patients for ongoing and chronic symptoms that impact their daily lives, from newborn to geriatric care. She’s passionate about providing care for weight loss management, such as physical exercise and nutrition, and mental health awareness.
Myers originally chose health care because of the close relationship with her grandma.
“Being with her in the last year of her life and seeing the impact the nurses made in her life was very rewarding to them. I knew she’d be proud of the nurse that I would become,” she said. “Caring for people and seeing the benefit of that great care is very fulfilling for me.”
As a nurse, she takes the time to get to know her patients and allows them to be open with her. Knowing what their life looks like outside of the clinic allows her to incorporate the big picture of what might be impacting their health.
“Incorporating a healthy diet, lifestyle management and a stress-free environment has a huge effect on our overall health. Making changes, within limits, for my patients is very important to me for my patients to have a great experience with me,” Myers said.
Myers genuinely cares about her patients’ overall health.
“I want to build ongoing relationships with my patients that hopefully includes seeing them for the entirety of my career. Being a new provider in the area allows me to have the ability to see patients for many years going forward,” she said.
Outside of work, Myers enjoys cooking, hiking, traveling, playing volleyball, running and attending her children’s activities.
She and her boyfriend live in Eau Claire with their four children, two dogs and two cats.
