“I strive to help my patients succeed and make progress towards their health or life goals."
As a physician assistant in family medicine, Karly Eckes enjoys being able to work with a variety of different patients with varying conditions every day.
“I went into family medicine because I like the diversity. I want to be able to provide all types of care for my patients depending on what they are facing," shared Eckes.
Eckes grew up in Marshfield and did several rotations within the Health System before joining the team. She has always known she wanted to practice in a smaller community. “There is a sense of community here that you just can't get when practicing in a larger city," she shared.
One area in which Eckes has additional credentialing is in assisting and treating patients who might be struggling with substance use. “There is a lot of stigma around substance use. It is prevalent in our area, and I want to be someone that patients know they can turn to if they are struggling with this or any other health need."
Eckes now lives in the country outside of Bruce. She enjoys spending time exploring in the woods, hitting the hiking trails and going cross country skiing.
