“Listening to my patient and finding solutions that are functional for their lifestyle is extremely important to me."
Dr. Kaitlyn Streachek is an optometrist helping patients with issues affecting their sight, including astigmatism, presbyopia, cataracts, glaucoma and macular degeneration, among others.
Dr. Streachek predicted this future for herself when she was just a child. She is fulfilled by the opportunity to get to know her patients on a deeper level.
“I decided on optometry in my fifth-grade class when asked to present my dream job," Dr. Streachek said. “Optometry allows me to help patients of all ages and manage everything from routine care to disease."
Dr. Streachek emphasizes communication with her patients and treating each one with personalized care.
“There is never a one-size-fits-all answer and customizing an eye exam to each individual's needs is something I find very rewarding," Dr. Streachek said. “I work to make sure they don't feel like just another patient when they are in my exam room."
Dr. Streachek earned her medical degree at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee.
Outside of work, Dr. Streachek enjoys spending time with family on the water during the summer and hiking, traveling and skiing during the winter.
