“It’s important to me that I be an
effective listener so my patients feel
comfortable sharing their concerns.”
“Family Medicine, to me, is the backbone of medicine," said Dr. Jordan Ashton. “I treat people of all ages, from infants to seniors, providing a starting point for care and advice throughout their lives."
As a board-certified family medicine physician her primary focus is on preventative medicine. She enjoys the entire scope of family medicine, including treatment of illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension and dermatologic conditions.
Her osteopathic background gives her additional insights into diagnosing and treating back pain and other musculoskeletal injuries. “I like being able to provide relief through a holistic approach," Dr. Ashton said.
“Mind, body and spirit are all connected," she said. “I love empowering patients with education and motivation regarding their health."
Dr. Ashton completed medical school at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She did her residency at Botsford Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan, where she was honored to be chief resident for two consecutive years.
Originally from Mosinee, Dr. Ashton is excited to be back home pursuing her career. She and her husband have two children. Together, they enjoy activities like fishing, playing violins, snowshoeing, gardening and biking.
