"It's important that parents choose a pediatrician that they and their children both feel comfortable with."
As a pediatrician, Dr. Puent specializes in the care of children from infants to adolescents. She sees children at Marshfield Medical Center-Weston for well-child visits, as well as for routine illnesses and injuries and long-term chronic health issues.
She has a special interest in preventive health care. "I am very passionate about working with children on making healthy lifestyle choices so they can reach their full potential."
She is board-certified in pediatrics. Dr. Puent received her medical degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine & Public Health in Madison, WI. She completed her residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals & Clinics in Madison, WI.
Dr. Puent and her husband are the parents of five children, including quadruplets. The experience has led to a special medical interest in helping other families with multiples. Though their birth required her to take a brief break, she returned to practicing medicine with the benefit of numerous insights.
"Through raising my children, I have learned that each child is a unique individual. I would like to work with each child and their parent(s) to provide the best possible care to meet their individual needs," she says.
Outside of work, Dr. Puent enjoys spending time with family and friends. She may also sneak in a game of basketball– a passion nurtured from her days of playing college basketball.
