Interventional cardiologist, Dr. Guruprasad Naik diagnoses and treats heart attacks and coronary artery disease, as well as blockages in blood vessels.
He helps people with both emergency and planned treatments.
"I want to choose the best treatment option available," explains Dr. Naik, "and then keep the treatment focused on managing the illness in as direct a manner as possible. My goal, during treatment and beyond, is to do things like simplifying the medications and dosages a patient has to take. This makes it easier for the patient to follow up on their own care and can reduce complications."
Dr. Naik and his wife, a pediatrician, have two daughters in grade school. They enjoy doing things together as a family, such as traveling, and frequently visit Door County. When he can find the time, Dr. Naik enjoys sports and carpentry.
