Fallon Roberts, a physician assistant specializing in plastic and reconstructive surgery, is passionate about helping patients improve their quality of life.
“The benefits of surgery can be quite profound and life-changing," Roberts said.
Roberts cares for patients who are undergoing plastic and reconstructive surgery, seeing them in the operating room, hospital and clinic. She works to make sure they are comfortable going through the procedure and healing process.
“I get to meet patients who are undergoing surgery and then I follow them as they recover and heal," Roberts said. “I am a big proponent of education. If patients have the knowledge they need, they become better advocates for their own health."
Roberts knew she wanted to be in the medical field after working in a group home for medically-fragile adults while attending college at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.
“That is where I discovered that I enjoy working with patients and listening to their stories," Roberts said.
Roberts earned her master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion.
In her spare time, she enjoys being with her family, playing volleyball, skiing, kayaking and horseback riding.
