“I enjoy getting to know the patients that come through our Wound Healing Center every day."
As a wound healing nurse practitioner, Ezra Sanchez assists with treating acute and chronic wounds including diabetic ulcers, pressure injuries, vascular and venous wounds and more.
Wound care often requires several visits, which leads Sanchez to get to know his patients on a deeper level.
“I get to know my patients and I like to connect with them on a human and emotional level," Sanchez said. “If you get to know them as a person, you understand them and are able to provide more personalized care."
Along with getting to know his patients, Sanchez looks forward to helping his patients heal after often chronic, painful and debilitating ulcers.
Sanchez worked as a registered nurse before earning his master's in nursing from Walden University in Minneapolis. He has special training in acute adult and gerontology care.
Sanchez is married and has three grown stepchildren. He and his wife enjoy spending time taking care of the animals on their hobby farm. He also enjoys fishing, hunting, cycling and spending time in the outdoors.
