“I
listen to the patient and make sure I address all the patients’ concerns and
help them make an informed decision on the best path of care.”
Dr. Elizabeth Ethington went down a familiar path with dermatology. Her father was a dermatologist and she saw the impact her father had on patients. She wanted to emulate that.
“My dad was a dermatologist and to see him coming home excited every day and seeing how he loved what he did and the impact he had stuck with me," Dr. Ethington said. “Dermatology provides a great combination of being able to learn something new every day and make people's lives better."
Dr. Ethington sees both children and adults and she enjoys the variety dermatology provides. She treats patients with skin cancer, acne, eczema, inflammatory skin conditions, psoriasis and complex skin conditions.
“I want to build a confidence with my patients. I also really enjoy helping people who have dealt with years of skin disease and dermatology issues," she said. “We can figure out that puzzle of the medical field and give them answers to complex things we have to solve."
Dr. Ethington is a Wisconsin native, growing up in Oconomowoc. She received her undergraduate degree from Boston College, her medical degree from Loyola University Chicago and completed her residency at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield.
Dr. Ethington is married and in her spare time, she enjoys being outdoors, hiking, golfing, water sports such as skiing and swimming, camping and she enjoys cooking and baking as well.
