“As a pediatrician, the care that I provide involves not only the patient, but the whole family.”
Supporting families is a big part of
Dr. David Holz’s pediatrics practice
because he understands childhood health
conditions can affect the whole family.
“I want to make it a holistic experience
for the entire family by identifying other
support systems they could use and any
barriers they have to getting support,”
he said.
Dr. Holz also tries to make visits to the
doctor less stressful and scary for kids by
teaching them new things about health
and how to take care of themselves.
“Though the entire office visit may not
always be fun, certain parts of it certainly
can be,” he said.
Experiencing medical issues as a child
and having children of his own have
made it easy for Dr. Holz to connect with
his patients and their families. He enjoys
working with young patients who have a
positive outlook on life, and he has a special
interest in heart and kidney disorders.
Dr. Holz earned his medical degree from
the University of Arizona College of
Medicine and completed his pediatrics
residency at University of Wisconsin
Hospital and Clinics in 2015.
When he’s not practicing medicine,
Dr. Holz enjoys spending time with his
wife and three boys, playing tennis, flying
RC planes, and embracing his love for all
things Star Wars.
