"I work with my patients to identify the cause of their pain to treat it now, and to prevent it from coming back in the future."
Dr. Pastorius, a physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist, enjoys helping his patients become healthier so they can live more active lifestyles with less pain.
He helps patients who have pain in their knee, hips, shoulders and back. He also can help with people who are experiencing weakness, numbness or tingling due to a nerve injury.
Dr. Pastorius isn't just looking for a quick fix to pain relief for his patients. "We can dive deeper to find the root cause of their symptoms."
He works to develop a cooperative relationship with his patients by getting to know them, understanding their issues and working together to create a care plan to address their needs.
"I hope by doing this my patients feel I could help them identify something that others didn't see and we have a plan to help them live a healthier, more pain free life," he said.
Dr. Pastorius earned his doctors of osteopathic medicine degree from Touro University - College of Osteopathic Medicine in Vallejo, California. He completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation from New York University - School of Medicine. He also is proficient in Spanish and can speak directly with Spanish-speaking patients without needing an interpreter.
When not working, he enjoys being outdoors, snowboarding, camping and spending time with his wife and golden retriever.
