“I am passionate about educating
patients so they can make the best
decisions for their health.”
Crystal Farrand has always had a strong
interest in science and a passion for
helping others. When a family member
had medical issues, she saw the team of
medical professionals working together
firsthand and wanted to be part of a
similar team to give back.
“I was drawn to Women’s Health and
caring for women. Working in OBGYN
provides me the opportunity to care for
women through all walks of life,” she said.
Crystal will be working with any ailment
a woman may face in primary care. She
also provides prenatal, postpartum,
contraceptive management and
preventative care such as cervical and
breast cancer screenings.
Forming a relationship with her patients
is important to Crystal. “My goal is to
treat the patient, not the diagnosis,” she said. Crystal wants to listen to patient
needs to build trust and learn about the
whole person sitting in front of her.
“Sometimes you have to be an
investigator and dig deeper. I encourage
people to ask me questions and use me
as a resource to get the best care they
can,” she said.
Crystal earned a bachelor’s degree in
Kinesiology-Exercise and Movement
Science and completed her master’s
degree in Physician Assistant Studies
from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Spending time with family and friends is
important to Crystal. She loves traveling,
staying active in the outdoors, crafting,
and reading.
