“My No. 1 concern is for the child who does not have a voice, who can’t take care of himself or herself in an abusive situation.”
Dr. Carolyn Nash specializes in caring for
pediatric patients who may be victims
of abuse. She provides medical exams,
assessment and treatment for these
children in a child-friendly environment.
Dr. Nash has been with Marshfield Clinic
since 2001. She sees patients at Marshfield
Clinic Wausau Center Child Abuse/Neglect
Program and provides training on child abuse
and neglect issues to area health care
providers and community professionals.
She received her medical degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health and is board certified in Pediatrics.
“As a pediatrician, one of my priorities is to
work with the community to support families
and prevent the adverse effects of violence
and neglect on children,” Dr. Nash said.
She is a member of the North Central Wisconsin Child Advocacy Center executive
committee and multidisciplinary team.
In 2011, Dr. Nash received the Wisconsin Coalition Against Sexual Assault (WCASA) Voices of Courage Health and Human Services Award. The award recognizes the outstanding work of Wisconsin individuals and organizations that have exceeded the highest standards in their efforts to end sexual violence and support survivors.
