“I want to be able to connect with my patients and get to know them as a person first."
Family Medicine Physician Assistant Carol Weik knew from early on she wanted to be in medicine.
After college while working for the research foundation in Marshfield, one of her colleagues applied to physician assistant schooling. She started to research that career and found her calling.
“As a provider, I am most passionate with listening and understand my patients wants and needs and being able connect with them," she said. “I really enjoy being able to connect with them first as a person then as a patient. I strive to help them in any way I can."
As a family medicine physician assistant, Weik can care for a wide spectrum of problems or concerns for all ages. She has expertise in preoperative evaluation and travel exams. Her primary role is to establish a long-term relationship with her patients and families.
Growing up in Marshfield, she knew of our Health System's outstanding reputation and wanted to stay with a health system that allows her patients to receive care all under one system.
She is married to her husband, Jeff, who is originally from Park Falls. Between the two of them, they have four adult children and one grandchild. She has been with our Health System for more than 20 years.
Outside of her practice, Weik enjoys being outside doing things like camping and gardening. She also enjoys spending time with family, baking and she is an avid reader.
