“Establishing a personal connection with patients, listening to their stories and understanding their goals is very important to me, and I do everything in my power to help patients reach those goals."
Caleb Mabis is a certified physician assistant specializing in orthopedics and sports medicine. He sees patients with pain and injuries related to athletic activities, aging or trauma.
His past experience as a high school athlete contributed to Mabis's interest in the medical field and influences his philosophy of care.
“I feel a real connection with athletes and understand their desire to get back on the field or simply regain their quality of life," Mabis said.
Coming from a family of health care providers, Mabis has always wanted to help others. He emphasizes the importance of an open and honest relationship between provider and patient.
“I want each of my patients to leave the clinic feeling like they were truly listened to and cared for in the best possible way," Mabis said. “I try to provide each of them with the same level of care that I would provide for a member of my family."
Mabis earned his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology degree at University of Wisconsin-Madison and Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree at University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health.
In his spare time, Mabis loves to stay active outdoors and play sports like softball, volleyball and soccer.
