“I want to educate the patient and give them the options. I believe in patient choice to help us connect and better develop a plan.”
Brianna Czaikowski, D.N.P., sees both children and adult patients for a variety of urology issues. Czaikowski works collaboratively with a board certified pediatric urologist. Unique to her practice is keeping pediatric patients throughout adulthood with chronic disorders such as Spina bifida and spinal cord Injury. Czaikowski also provides minor office procedures is combination with the Child Life Department.
Specialties include, but are not limited to, urinary tract infections, voiding dysfunction, vesicoureteral reflux, hydronephrosis, sexual health, and erectile dysfunction. She also works closely with obstetrics and gynecology (OBGYN). “Follow up with the patients are important, I always ask the patient, '"Are you the same, better or worse'" and then we develop a plan together", she said. “I am flexible to help patients in any way I can," she said.
She also plays a role in surgery and hospital medicine. “The surgery aspect allows me to better explain to patients the desired outcomes," Czaikowski said. “It makes my patients more comfortable knowing I was involved all throughout their care, pre-op, intra-op, and post-op'. Robotic surgeries are also offered collaboratively with the Adult/Pediatric Urology Surgeons.
Czaikowski is a native Wisconsinite, growing up in Phillips. She received her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in Wisconsin. She is board-certified as a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner.
Czaikowski is married and has three children. She enjoys going to her cabin up north, boating, and having fun with her kids and dog Murphy.
