Dr. Boban Mathew is an interventional cardiologist, who works to diagnose and treat coronary artery disease, vascular disease and structural heart disease.
He comes from a family of physicians, so he was attracted to the field of medicine at an early age.
"It was really always my goal from the time I can remember to become a physician," he said. He strives to develop a relationship with each patient he sees.
"It's important to me to provide well-rounded care, consider the whole person and make sure they are comfortable with their course of treatment," he said.
Dr. Mathew attended medical school at University of Kerala – Kottayam Medical College in India. He completed a residency in internal medicine in Buffalo, New York, and fellowship in cardiovascular disease in Syracuse, New York. He worked as a cardiologist in India and the United Kingdom before coming to the United States.
Outside of work, Dr. Mathew is a fan of all forms of racquet sports, including tennis, badminton and racquetball.
Dr. Mathew's wife is a rheumatologist at Marshfield Clinic Health System. Together they have two adult children.
