“My passion is to
discover more about my coworkers and patients, and all being able to work
together to improve the health of the community.”
Dr. Anne-Margaret Hernaez comes from a family of physicians. Her mother, father and brother are all doctors. Dr. Hernaez's career path became clear as she spent more time in their medical environment.
“I worked at my parents' clinic, where I observed the importance of patient-centered, preventive care," said Dr. Hernaez. “I was able to witness my father, a family practitioner, use the power of rapport-building after caring for multiple generations of a patient's family to help them in their health decision-making."
As a family medicine physician, Dr. Hernaez sees the whole gamut of medical conditions. She responds to each patient in a thoughtful, compassionate way.
“My philosophy is if you provide a safe place for patients to ask questions and address those questions in a way they can understand and connect with, that education will empower them to get involved in their health and the health of their loved ones," said Dr. Hernaez.
Dr. Hernaez shares her expertise in many ways. She volunteers with nonprofit groups and has been on several international medical missions. She also enjoys walking, running, reading and traveling with family.
