“I want my patients to be fully informed, so we can make decisions about their health care together.”
For Amy Nikolai, being a family nurse practitioner is ideal. She’s passionate about preventive medicine and states “to do it well, requires spending time with your patients and families so you
can truly understand their concerns and health care goals.”
Amy worked as a registered nurse on a medical/pediatrics unit for five years before attending graduate school at the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire.
Now as a family nurse practitioner, she loves the variety that comes from caring for people of all ages. Amy especially enjoys seeing an entire family and being an active part of their health care. She feels that because the Marshfield Clinic Merrill Center has so many great
providers and specialists, it is truly a community clinic. As a family nurse practitioner, Amy has her own patient group and she is actively building her practice.
Amy and her husband enjoy raising their children. They spend their free time traveling, camping, fishing and enjoying time with family and friends.
