Amanda Conner is a nurse practitioner, specializing in metabolic and bariatric surgery. She sees patients who are struggling with health concerns related to obesity and seeking surgery options for weight loss.

Conner began her work with Marshfield Clinic Health System as a registered nurse and is looking forward to growing her career now as advanced care provider in metabolic and bariatric surgery. She was inspired to work in health care at a young age.

“I have always been driven to the medical field because I want to help people when they need it most," Conner said. “I'm drawn to nursing because I feel like it's the best profession for me to build a connection with patients and be able to provide care for the whole person."

Developing a health care partnership with her patients is a top priority for Conner. That relationship allows her to share her knowledge about the bariatric surgery field.

“I want to make connections with patients and their families to provide them the best care possible," Conner said. “My goal is to educate patients on how to live a healthy lifestyle and reach their health goals."

Conner earned her master of nursing degree from Marian University in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. She earned her bachelor's at University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

In her spare time, Conner enjoys traveling with her husband and two children, boating and watching the kids at their athletic events.
