“I enjoy the fact that my work allows me
to see many different people and help
them progress toward a healthier and
happier life.”
Dr. Ajay Parsaik said his role as a psychiatrist is about more than providing treatment. It’s about caring for the entire person.
“When I see patients, I really want to get to know the whole person,” he said. “I think when you treat someone, you want to understand as many different factors about who they are as you can.”
He sees patients with mood, anxiety, thought and cognitive disorders. What he enjoys most about his work is the opportunity to meet people and help them improve their quality of life.
Dr. Parsaik earned his medical degree from Goa Medical College in India. He completed his residency in psychiatry at the University of Texas Health Science Marshfield Medical Center 1000 N Oak Ave, Marshfield Center. He earned his master’s in clinical and translational science from Mayo Clinic, where he also completed a fellowship in behavioral neurology.
In his free time, Dr. Parsaik enjoys running, hiking, traveling, playing tennis and watching movies. He is happily married.
