I enjoy most when my patients are feeling better and their symptoms have improved. I feel achieved when my patients feel relieved.

Provider Bio down arrow

Abdallah Qasim, M.D., is a board-certified nephrologist specializing in kidney diseases. He works to help patients who are dealing with a variety of conditions including chronic and end-stage kidney disease, kidney stones and electrolyte abnormalities.

Dr. Qasim has had a passion for medicine since he was a child. He shadowed his pediatrician father and saw the impact that providers can have on their patients.

“I saw the relief of anxiety," he said. “The patients who came for follow-up appointments were happy their symptoms improved and their children were doing well. Since then, I have been looking forward to making that impression on people. That is why I chose medicine."

Dr. Qasim is passionate about helping patients through nephrology care. “When I started clinical training, I realized the effects of kidney disease on patients can be significant if not controlled and addressed early. It triggered my passion for this specialty. My goal is to promote the early detection of kidney disease, address risks of kidney disease, manage symptoms and encourage kidney transplants when needed. I want to ensure a good quality of life for my patients."

In his spare time, Dr. Qasim enjoys kickboxing, swimming and reading about psychology.
