Female sexual dysfunction
Female sexual dysfunction, or FSD, includes a variety of symptoms.
In women of all ages, FSD might show as:
- Lack of desire or arousal
- Painful sex and vaginal discomfort
- Absent orgasm
The National Institutes of Health reports 40 percent of women experience FSD. This percentage is even higher for cancer survivors.
Causes of FSD
In addition to cancer, FSD comes from
- Anxiety
- Contraception
- Depression
- Diabetes
- Heart Disease
- Menopause
- Pregnancy
- Surgery
- Trauma
Skin conditions cause FSD, too. Sometimes this displays itself as vaginal or vulval pain, which significantly impacts daily living and affects relationships.
Regardless of the cause, your concerns and symptoms are valid and important. Whether you are heterosexual, homosexual, asexual or just wanting to be sexual, our team evaluates your needs and individualizes a care program to help get you back to peak sexual intimacy, health and pleasure.
