Planning for a safe and healthy trip is an important part of travel preparations.
Consultations are available for patients of all ages who plan to travel to underdeveloped regions or countries with resource-limited settings where certain infectious diseases may be more common, including Africa, Asia and Latin America.
Appointments are available for pre-travel medical evaluations
These may include:
- Destination-specific advice for prevention of malaria and other mosquito-borne diseases.
- Prevention and treatment of traveler's diarrhea.
- Travel vaccines, such as typhoid and yellow fever.*
- Prescriptions for travel.
Schedule an appointment four-to-six weeks prior to travel, if possible.
*Yellow fever vaccines must be given in a dedicated travel medicine clinic (only in Marshfield and Weston). Talk to your travel medicine provider about needed vaccines and the best appointment option for you when scheduling your appointment.
