Do I need to be a Marshfield Clinic Health System patient?
We welcome your visit to Marshfield Clinic Health System. If you would simply like to know the cost of a potential service, give us a call. We would be happy to assist.
If you are visiting one of our facilities, ask your medical team to request a fee estimate on your behalf. We will work with the team to obtain appropriate codes and details regarding your upcoming service.
What does a fee estimate include?
Your fee estimate will include description of services, procedure codes and Marshfield Clinic Health System's billed charge. In some cases, if a health care professional performs more than one procedure the same day, cost savings may be passed on, reducing amount owed by a patient or insurance company.
If a procedure is performed in a non-Marshfield Clinic Health System facility, our fee estimate will only include Marshfield Clinic Health System services.
Is this estimate the total cost?
A fee estimate includes an estimated cost for services requested. In some cases, your medical team may need to perform additional services during the procedure (example - a routine Colonoscopy detects a polyp; it is removed and sent to a lab for testing so additional charges are incurred).
Do you have programs to help with costs?
Marshfield Clinic Health System strives in providing complete medical care. This does include offering various payment assistance programs to help pay for your care.

Good Faith Estimates are available
The No Surprise Act protects individuals through a federal law from unexpected medical bills. These protections help ensure patients don’t receive surprise bills for medical services, even if those services were out-of-network or without prior authorization.
For patients with hospital visits who are uninsured, pay through self-pay or choose to not use their health insurance for a service, a good faith estimate of the cost of their care will be provided prior to their visit.
