The Marshfield Medical Center Nuclear Medicine Technology Program offers qualified interns the opportunity to gain experience in diagnostic computed tomography (CT) during their NMT internship. Upon certification in NMT and completion of the CT Training Program, individuals are then eligible to take a national CT certification examination offered by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB-CT) and/or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-CT).
Admission Requirements
NMT interns interested in pursuing training in the embedded Diagnostic CT Program during their MMC NMT internship must complete and submit an application for the CT program by March 1 and be in good standing academically and clinically per the following requirements:
- Maintain a minimum grade of B or better in all NMT Program courses and on clinical evaluations.
- Complete required NMT competencies (solos) prior to April 1.
The diagnostic clinical aspect of the CT Program takes place between April and July.
Curriculum
All didactic content will be covered within the NMT curriculum. Clinical competencies can be achieved in both nuclear medicine and CT departments.
